Plans & Pricing

Webflow’s pricing plans are grouped into two categories:

To publish a website you build with Webflow on your own domain name, you need a Site plan.

There are basic (non-CMS) and CMS Site Plans and Ecommerce plans. Site Plans are essential for every website that you publish using a custom domain name and every one of your websites will require you to subscribe to a separate plan.

Webflow also offers Account plans. These plans are designed for agencies and freelancers who want to use Webflow to build and publish websites for their clients.

Both Individual and Team account plans let you bill your client whatever you want. That means you can charge them a premium for hosting their website.

What’s the difference between Site plans and Account plans?

TL;DR Account plans let you build your website, and site plans let you connect your website to a custom domain name.

Account plans don’t let you publish your website. To publish a website on your own domain, you will need a Site plan for every website or online store you want to publish on the Internet.

Account plans let you design sites using the Webflow designer to and publish the sites using a Webflow staging domain (e.g. websitehostingrating.webflow.io)

Account plans are for building your sites and make it easier for you to manage projects and your client’s websites.

If you want to use your own custom domain name (e.g. www.websiterating.com) you’ll need to add a Site plan. If you don’t want to use the Webflow CMS, the Basic site plan will do just fine, however, most sites will need the CMS plan to take advantage of Webflow’s content management system.

Which Webflow Plan Is Right For You?

Webflow offers two types of plans for publishing a website. One type is the Site plans and the other is e-commerce plans. The e-commerce plans are for those who want to build an online store.

Let me break down these plans further. After I break down the Site plans and the Ecommerce plans, I will break down the Account plans.

Is a Site Plan Right For You?

You can create a website for free with Webflow but if you want to publish it on your own domain name or export the code, you will need to subscribe to either a Site plan or an e-commerce plan.

general site plans

Site plans are for anyone who wants to build a website but isn’t interested in selling anything online. It will let you build almost any kind of website you want. Site plans are the best place to get started with Webflow.

If you want to sell your products or services on your website, you will need to subscribe to an e-commerce plan.

Which Webflow Site Plan Is Right For You?

The Basic Site Plan is for you if:

  • You are just starting out: If you are building your first website, you probably won’t get a lot of visitors in the first couple of months. Even if your website does well, it probably won’t reach more than 25k visitors every month in the first year. This plan will save you a lot of money if this is your first website.
  • You don’t need a CMS: If you want to publish a static website with Webflow, this is the plan for you. It doesn’t let you create any CMS items including blog posts.

The CMS Site Plan is for you if:

  • You are starting a blog: The Basic plan doesn’t come with the CMS features. If you want to start a blog, you need to subscribe to either this plan or a higher one. This plan allows up to 2,000 CMS items.
  • You are getting a lot of visitors: If your website is getting more than 25k visitors every month, the basic site plan won’t work for you as it only allows 25k visitors. This plan allows up to 100k visitors every month.

The Business Plan is for you if:

  • Your website is growing really fast: If your website is gaining a lot of traction, you might want to upgrade to this plan. It allows up to 1,000,000 visitors every month.
  • You need more CMS items: The CMS Site Plan only allows up to 2k CMS items. This plan, on the other hand, allows up to 10,000.
  • You need more form submissions: If you added a Webflow form to your website and it’s getting a lot of submissions, then you might want to upgrade to this plan. It allows unlimited form submissions compared to the 1,000 allowed by the CMS Site plan.

The Enterprise Plan is for you if:

  • No other plan can suit your needs: If your website is growing super-fast, you will want to upgrade to the Enterprise plan. It is a custom plan that the Webflow team will create for you based on what you need. It comes with Enterprise support, and Training and Onboarding.

Is an Ecommerce Plan Right For You?

Webflow’s Ecommerce Site Plans are for anyone who wants to sell their products or services online.

ecommerce plans

The Site Plans that we broke down in the last section don’t give you access to Webflow’s Ecommerce features. You will need an Ecommerce plan if you want to sell anything on your Webflow website.

Which Webflow Ecommerce Plan Is Right For You?

The Standard Plan is for you if:

  • You are just getting online: If you are building your first online store or if your business is just getting online, this is the perfect plan for you. It allows up to 500 items (products, categories, CMS items, etc.), which is enough for most small businesses.
  • Your business isn’t earning more than $50k a year: If your business is doing more than $50k every year in revenue, you will need to subscribe to a higher plan. This plan only allows businesses making less than $50k in revenue.

The Plus Plan is for you if:

  • You have a lot of products: This plan allows up to 1,000 items as compared to the 500 allowed on the Standard plan.
  • You don’t want to pay 2% on every transaction: You have to pay an additional 2% fee on every transaction to Webflow on the Standard plan. That is on top of the transaction fee charged by your payment gateway. The Plus plan and the higher ones don’t charge you this fee.

The Advanced Plan is for you if:

  • You are an Ecommerce giant: This plan allows up to 3,000 items. If you have more than a 1,000 products or items, you will need this plan.
  • Your revenue exceeds $200k per year: The Plus Plan only allows businesses making less than $200k per year. This plan has no such limits.

Do You Need an Account (Workspace) Plan?

Account plans are for freelancers and agencies who want to build their clients’ websites using Webflow.

workspace pricing

It lets you manage all your client sites from one place and offers many staging features so you can easily get reviews and feedback from your clients.

But that’s not all, an account plan also lets you charge your clients whatever you want directly from Webflow. You can earn a markup from every client you host using Webflow.

Which Account Plan Is Right For You?

The Starter Plan is for you if:

  • You are still on the fence: If you haven’t built any sites with Webflow for any of your clients before, then you might not want to jump in headfirst. This plan is free and gives you access to basic staging features so you can get feedback from your clients.

The Lite Plan is for you if:

  • You have a lot of clients: If you want to manage more than two projects, this is the plan for you. It allows up to 10 projects.
  • You want to export code: You need the Lite plan or the Pro plan to export code to host on your own.
  • You want better staging: This plan and the Pro plan come with enhanced staging features.

The Pro Plan is for you if:

  • You need more than 10 projects: This plan supports unlimited projects as compared to the 10 allowed by the Lite Plan.
  • You want to White Label: This is the only plan that lets you white label.
  • You want password protection: This is the only plan of the three that lets you password-protect your staging sites.

Do You Need a Team Plan?

A Team plan is basically an account plan for agencies. It charges you per person per month and lets you collaborate on the sites that you create. Team plans include all the features of individual account plans plus more.

Which Team Plan Is Right For You?

The team plans are the same as the Pro Individual Account Plan I broke down in the last section. The only difference is that a Team plan comes with a Team Dashboard for managing your teams.

Webflow only offers two Team plans. The Team Plan and the Enterprise Plan. The only difference between the two is that the latter is a customized plan for large teams that need custom features. Unless you have a very large team, you will want to start with the Team plan.
